To promote this philosophy and propel the global integration sentiment, SIU launched the international studies program at Symbiosis School of International Studies in Pune. The institute is affiliated to Symbiosis International University and offers an international studies masters degree in the name of Master of Arts in International Studies. The main objective of introducing this curriculum was to to equip students with the essential knowledge that allows them to link theory with practice which will trigger the development of critical-thinking skills.

The masters in international studies curriculum is delivered across 4 semesters over 2 years with a total of 80 credits to be scored. The course for the first two semesters covers topics ranging from international relations, security, human rights, global public goods, international communication, etc. The third semester is marked by an internship program while the research dissertation is the main agenda in the final semester of the master of international studies Program. The students who have secured admission in the MA International Studies Program get to contribute in the Indian Review of Global Affairs which is the research arm of Symbiosis Institute of International Studies.
