County Executive Candidate to Media: Pay Attention to Suffolk’s Fiscal Woes as Well

Jim O’Connor, the Republican and Conservative Party candidate for Suffolk County Executive, today accused media outlets of showing its bias as they continually report on the financial crises and shady dealings in Nassau County, while ignoring the problems in Suffolk County which are much worse.

“It’s outrageous that the media would make Nassau’s $65 million deficit front-page news while ignoring Suffolk County’s $176 million budget hole,” Mr. O’Connor said. “Where’s the balance?”
