Salt Lake City, Utah - In an economic climate where jobs can be scarce, nursing education seems to be a fulfilling and stable career choice. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, currently 10 out of the 20 fastest-growing professions are healthcare related, and healthcare will generate more jobs over the next eight years than any other industry. Responding to the demand for qualified healthcare professionals, Stevens-Henager College has added the Associate Degree in Nursing Education to its existing list of healthcare programs. The Associate Degree in Nursing Education provides students with the theoretical foundation, technical training, and practical experience graduates need, through classroom instruction, patient care simulation, and clinical experience, in order to prepare and qualify them to successfully fulfill the role of a registered general nurse. Furthermore, this program can help prepare you to successfully pass the National Council Licensure Examination or NCLEX-RN exam, which is a requirement for obtaining a nursing license. (Note that certifications require extra time and expense outside of the degree program.)
