Boulder Digital Arts Offers One-Week Video Production Intensive Program To Help Emerging Videographers Find Work

BDA's Video Production Transitions Certificate Program Will Take Place Feb. 21 - 25.

Boulder Digital Arts, Colorado's premiere community resource and coworking facility designed specifically for digital artists and creative professionals, will be offering a one-week intensive Video Production Transitions Certificate Program Feb. 21 - 25. The program, taught by award-winning videographer, Antony Cooper, will provide students with all of the skills necessary to become a videographer in a professional environment.

Cooper has over 25 years of professional experience directing and producing many award-winning corporate and documentary videos in both the U.S. and the U.K. "The goal of Cooper's class is to have every student prepared to start shooting video professionally upon completion of the course work. His students learn techniques, and they will also reap the benefits of Cooper's experience. He will teach students how to troubleshoot problems in the field; the finer points of pre-production; the art of plugging into soundboards and mixers when shooting live music; and so much more!" explains Bruce Borowsky, co-founder of Boulder Digital Arts.

BDA's Transitions Certificate Programs are in-depth courses designed for professionals looking to either reinvigorate or change their careers. Every Transitions course has a clear and concise learning outcome for students. Class sizes are limited to eight students so that the instructor can assist and engage with every student individually. Courses are offered in two formats to accommodate the busy schedules of students: weekdays for one full week or two evenings per week for five weeks.

Transitions classes are designed using a project-based learning approach that combines engaging lectures with hands-on practice. The sessions for the Video Production Transitions Certificate Program will be split into two locations: lectures will take place at BDA's state-of-the-art classroom located at their Arapahoe Studio and the hands-on practice will be conducted at their professional production studio located at BDA's Broadway facility.

Registrations fees for Boulder Digital Arts' Video Production Transitions Certificate Program are $1,199 for BDA members and $1,249 for non-members. After Feb. 16, prices will increase to $1,209 and $1,259, respectively. Included in this fee is BDA's concierge service, in which a BDA staff member follows up with a Transitions student after registration to assist with any logistical and/or travel concerns, meal options, and to set up a payment plan if necessary.

"These courses cost a fraction of the prices of most similar software/computer classes or advanced degree programs," adds Zach Daudert, BDA co-founder. "Really though, these Transitions classes are invaluable. A student in the Video Production class can walk in on Monday knowing nothing about shooting a video and walk out on Friday knowing the essentials of professionally shooting and producing the finished product."

BDA provides several industry-standard professional video cameras for the Video Production class; however, students are encouraged to bring their own video equipment if possible. To register for Boulder Digital Arts' Video Production Transitions Certificate Program, simply visit the BDA website and sign-up online in just minutes.
